Peregrine

Hi all -

As some of you may or may not know we have 3 divisions to our company not including the parent – Peregrine Visual Storytelling.  That makes 4 little businesses though only 2 of them are “active” at the moment.

Peregrine Visual Storytelling – parent, production, art, fun

Peregrine Visual Effects – high end VFX and computer animation for feature films

Peregrine Labs – VFX and animation software development and consulting

Finger Collision – mobile entertainment

Peregrine Labs is the most active at the moment though we do have a few small films running through our VFX pipeline.  As of today we’re releasing our first Nuke plugin and within the month will be revealing a lot more about our procedural fur system – Yeti!

Thank you for all of your support – we’ve been getting a lot of interest over the last few months and it’s really appreciated.  Starting a company isn’t easy, let alone 4, so there’s much juggling involved.

Unbeknownst to my folks, the bread being left outside for the birds is feeding a very different family.

Last night…

After an excellent summer and even better autumn we’re packing up the cottage for the winter and moving onto our next abode, whatever and where ever that may be.  Our November takes us back to Oakville, London Ontario, Niagara and then Germany for part of December – and Christmas!

It will be hard to match the little work room I’ve been in for the last few months, witnessing the leaves changing with all the wildlife outside being a welcome distraction.

Last week we visited a friends farm, it was the most incredible place at over 100acres they’ve let some of the paddocks return back to nature with a small forest in the middle for exploring.  Our drive back took us through the stunning Beaver Valley back down towards Georgian Bay and through Owen Sound to Inglis Falls.

So far our living remote experiment is acting in our favour and hopefully it continues that way into the new year!
