We travelled from Brindisi in Italy to Santorini via Athens in Greece.  The journey took 40 hours with one night in a hostel and the other during a 15 hour ferry ride.

Although busy with tourists it was a beautiful place, gorgeous views and amazing architecture that made it easy to appreciate.

We were surprised as the affordability of accommodation compared to the rest of Europe ( Rome especially ) though, like anywhere else, you could spend a fair amount if you wanted.

We would have spent more time in Greece if we could, the food was amazing and the people extremely friendly – we’ll just have to make that a stop on our next adventure.
